The Best way to ski on a Snow Biste simulator is Hovering

https://snowbiste.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Shortest-Video-with-sound.mp4

The Best way to ski on a Snow Biste simulator is Hovering; skiing on the simulator without the use of the hand-bar. This requires you to be able to proficiently utilize the skills you are taught during your training sessions, into effective functional movement patterns that optimize your ski turns. Hovering is not easy, but the Biste Methodology is designed to bring you to that level. Hovering on the simulator, strengthens your ski specific muscles 3X faster than skiing with the Hand-bar. Hovering is the level every racer and athlete with high aspirations should strive for and is the goal if you really want to get better! If you want to ski ANY terrain efficiently and effectively, then you need to learn to Hover. However, if you just want to learn how to ski, get more confidence or a basic ski skill tune-up for safety, then successfully achieving the ability to hover is not necessary.

First Training Session

During your first training session, The Foundational, you’ll be asked what your goals are. If your goal is simply to learn the basics, expect 8 half hour Developmental Sessions. If your goal is to be the best in your group or to be a competitive ski athlete, then expect the journey to take longer. Hovering is not easy as you must develop the understanding, skills and fitness to do it correctly. For the best 12–15-year-old athletes, that takes 8 to 12 sessions. For a physically fit Masters skier able to ski most any terrain, that can take an even longer 12-50 Developmental Sessions. That’s because experienced skiers that aren’t racing World Cup have a lot of bad habits that need to be broken down and rebuilt in the right manner. Everyone is different in how they learn. The Biste Methodology takes that into account by creating the Functional Movement Patterns through skill building drills that build upon one another.

Monthly Ski Training

Monthly ski training packages are available to help you achieve your goals with 2X or 3X per week training sessions. If you don’t have structure in your schedule, there are 8 and 12 pack Developmental sessions that aren’t confined to a monthly 30-day period. Be prepared to schedule your weekly days in advance at your Foundational sessions as the schedule fills up quickly during the months of September through the end of March.

August 2, 2017

November 18, 2017, Reno, NV — Biste Technologies, LLC, home of the Snow Biste, announced a Learn to Ski Scholarship program for the 2018-2019 ski season for youth ages 11-16. The program is being launched to offer an opportunity for four local athletic youth to learn to ski, who may not otherwise have access to the sport. Scholarship recipients will each be awarded eight indoor lessons on the Snow Biste ski training platform in a group setting. The Learn to Ski Scholarship program will also include interactive learning sessions, an exercise program, a presentation to sponsors, and culminate with a group trip to a local ski area. In completing their transformation to skiers, recipients get to try out their skills on a local ski resort mountain. Interactive learning sessions will be taught and include experience speaking in front of a group, training for healthy sports (attitude, eating and fitness), proper sportsmanship, the local history of skiing and ski racing in the Reno/Tahoe area, and environmental conservation / alpine stewardship.

“I am so thrilled to share the sport that I love so much with young athletes from our area,” said Kris Buttenberg, CEO of Biste Technologies, home of the Snow Biste training platform. “This ski platform allows the opportunity for someone to learn to ski in less time, more affordably, and in a way that targets the specific muscles that truly matter when you get to the mountain.”

The Name That Drill contest is a way to add incentive to the junior ski racers training on the indoor Snow Biste using the Biste Method of accelerated learning. This honor is only available to junior skiers who train with us. Because our racers are doing so well, we are opening up a second drill for naming this season. In order to win the honor of drill naming, the recipient must podium at a scheduled race. A podium is placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in your age class. Currently we have juniors racing in U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16. Good luck junior athletes! “
